Research Professor CSIC at Department of Crystallography and Structural Biology (CBE) of Instituto de Química-Física "Rocasolano". CSIC. Madrid. Born in León 10 October 1964.
Research lines: The research interests in my group encompass studies in the mechanisms of virulence and pathogenesis and the means of circumvent them. We focus on the structural biology of the bacterial surface proteins involved in key functions, such as host-pathogen interactions, division, antibiotics resistance, pathogenesis mechanisms or the remodeling of the peptidoglycan framework, which represent important mechanisms in the process of disease.
