The city of Granada displays a Continental Mediterranean climate. According to its location in Southeastern Spain, mild Mediterranean climate dominates, however, the presence of the Sierra Nevada mountain chain isolates the city and its environment from the sea’s influence thus making its weather somehow harsher, sharing some features with Continental climate.
