2010 Principles of Fluorescence Techniques
April 7-9, 2010 in Chicago, IL | May 31-June 4, 2010 in Madrid, Spain
The courses are designed for students, researchers and industrial scientists who wish to expand their knowledge of fluorescence techniques, instrumentation and applications. The courses include hands-on experiments on commercial instrumentation (spectrofluorometers and confocal microscopes) and cover several applications: excitation and emission spectra, polarization measurements, lifetime and time-resolved anisotropy measurements, single- and multi-photon confocal images, FLIM, FRET and fluorescence fluctuation spectroscopy.
The following speakers will tentatively deliver lectures based on these topics:
Prof. Enrico Gratton - Anisotropy Decay/Data Analysis, Fluorescence Microscopy, RICS and FLIM (Chicago & Madrid)
Prof. David M. Jameson - Basic Fluorescence Principles (Chicago & Madrid)
Prof. Peter So - Fluorescence Microscopy (Chicago)
Prof. Robert Clegg - Full Field Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (Chicago)
Dr. Beniamino Barbieri - A Short History of fluorescence (Madrid)
Dr. Valeria Caiolfa - FCS, PCH, N&B (Madrid)
Dr. Moreno Zamai- Phasor-FLIM (Madrid)
Dr. Susana Sánchez Donoso- Fluorescence Probes & Labels for Biomedical Applications (Madrid)
