Premio Bruker
Prof. IGNACIO FITA PRESENTED WITH THE BRUKER AWARD
 
June 3, 2011, Prof. Ignacio Fita and D. Pedro Vázquez, representing Bruker Española  SA, at XI SBE Congress in Murcia.
Premio Bruker/Bruker Prize.
This Prize is generously supported by Bruker Española SA (3000 € for the last edition) and is addressed to recognize the excellence of the work in the field of Biophysics carried out in Spain. Preference is given to members of the SBE.
In 2011, this Prize has been awarded to Ignacio Fita Rodríguez  from IRB and IBMB-CSIC, Barcelona, for his work on Structural Biology, using mainly protein crystallography.

Dr TERESA GIRÁLDEZ PRESENTED WITH THE IZASA-BECMAN COULTER AWARD.

This work is addressed to recognize the work of a biophysicist carried out in Spain, but the scientist must be under 37 years old. It has been generously sponsored in 2011 by Izasa-Beckman-Coulter (2000€ in this edition).
In the 2011 edition it has been awarded to Teresa Giráldez Fernández (Hospital Universitario Ntra. Sra. de Candelaria y Universidad de La Laguna) for her work on transport and channels

This Prize was awarded in 2010 for the first time under the denomination of SBE Prize to Pau Bernardó (Barcelona).
